The leaders of the countries taking part in the summit between Russia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) adopted on Friday the Sochi declaration and approved a plan of actions on the development of cooperation until 2020.

SOCHI (Sputnik) — On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the declaration stipulated the "common goal of taking the Russia-ASEAN strategic partnership to a whole new level."

The leaders also approved a roadmap for 2016-2020, which is a supplement to the political Sochi declaration, according to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
