The lockdown was caused by a piece of lost or forgotten luggage left in the area, with police saying it was a false alarm.
France is on high alert following the Bastille Day attack in Nice that killed at least 84 people. Last November, terrorists conducted coordinated attacks across the city, leading to the deaths of at least 130 people.
Earlier on Friday, authorities arrested a man suspected of plotting a terror attack in the French capital.
